Mr. Quick talks at length about his appointment by then Defense Secretary Robert Gates to the Defense Health Board and his work in attempting to reduce the rate of military suicides. He also talks about his father’s involvement as an office in World War II and his grandfather’s attempt at serving in World War I, but being denied by the New York State Governor as the grandfather was teaching at a medical school and was deemed to be needed more as a teacher.
